Summit Health announced the acquisition of High Desert Family Medicine in Sunriver. The takeover will be completed in June 2023 as Dr. Dan Skotte of High Desert Family Medicine retires from medical practice.

Summit Health will expand operations and introduce specialty care services such as cardiology, pulmonology and neurosciences to Sunriver, Gilchrist, La Pine and the south Deschutes County area. The clinic will offer full-service primary care, point-of-care testing and laboratory services for all ages.

Starting June 5, Summit Health will expand the clinic hours from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend hours and radiology services to be introduced over time. The new clinic will be located at 57067 Beaver Drive in Sunriver.

Summit Health Oregon is part of New Jersey based Summit Medical Group, which had more than 90 locations in New Jersey, Arizona and Oregon, according to its 2018 annual report.
