Sunriver doesn’t often come to mind when I’m deciding where to go out to eat.

But a recent interview with Chef Josh Hedrick about the Sunriver Resort Food & Wine Festival reminded me to consider the neighboring town’s dining options.

Many of Bend’s most popular restaurants require a reservation scheduled in advance or a long wait.

“The food and wine festival was born from this opportunity for us to get in front of Central Oregon locals,” said Lindsay Borkowski, director of sales and marketing.

Regardless if you’re able to attend the festival this month, don’t forget about Sunriver when deciding where to dine.
