The 2023 Tour of Meissner cross-country ski race is scheduled for Sunday at Virginia Meissner Sno-park west of Bend.

A benefit for the Meissner Nordic Club and Deschutes County Search and Rescue, the Tour of Meissner brings together the generous spirit and energy of the Central Oregon nordic community and showcases the expansive community-supported Meissner trail system.

The Tour is billed as one of the largest classic ski events in the western United States, and travels a well-designed course, allowing participants to experience the majority of the trail system in a 30-kilometer or 17K single-loop format.

The Tour is a “donation only” event, drawing energy from high-quality grooming, enthusiastic volunteers, excited, fun-loving participants, and local sponsors who graciously support the mission of the Meissner Nordic Club. 

The race starts at 8 a.m. Sunday. An awards party and raffle will follow.

Online Registration can be found on WebScorer. Registration closes Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.

Bib pick-up is Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Webskis (157 N.W. Franklin in Bend).

The suggested donation is $20 to Meissner Nordic.
