High Desert Chamber Music, the next arts organization to return to a full season of live music, will present the first concert of its 15th season Friday in Bend, a performance by the Delgani String Quartet.

The group, which Oregon Arts Watch has called the state’s finest chamber ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon, 61980 Skyline Ranch Road.

Ticket holders may join the members of the group at 6:45 p.m. for a pre-concert talk.

The Delgani String Quartet curates its own music series between Eugene and Portland, along with performances in places such as Bend. Its new violinist, Anthea Kreston, is the first American violinist ever to hold a position in a full-time European string quartet, according to HDCM.

Tickets are $48, $10 for students and children.
