Casino to open in January

The 24-hour Indian Head Casino under construction on U.S. Highway 26 on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation is expected to open at the end of January, according to a news release issued Wednesday.
The state and the Confederated Tribes of Warms Springs reached final approval on the gaming compact, which finalizes all federal documents for the casino, according to the release from Bradshaw Advertising of Portland.

Located across from the Museum at Warm Springs, the 40,000-square-foot Indian Head Casino will replace the casino at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort, which is about 12 miles north of Highway 26.
