Clinics and classes
Black Butte Ranch’s 100 Yards In: Clinic aims to improve the fundamentals of pitching, chipping, putting, sand play and full swing up to 100 yards out. Two-day clinics will be held Saturdays and Sundays every week through Aug. 18. Each three-hour session begins at 9 a.m. Cost is $250. For more information, call Black Butte Ranch at 541-595-1545.
Wine and 9 Golf for Ladies at Aspen Lakes: Instruction will focus on fun, safety, etiquette, rules and fundamentals of golf. Different skills will be offered each week by instructor Debi Braun. Black Butte Ranch Junior Camp: Open to golfers 6-17 years old. Classes are tailored to the age and abilities of each player. Play Like in Your Dreams at Black Butte Ranch: Black Butte Ranch’s newest one-day golf school focuses on the teachings of Chuck Hogan. Learn how to repeat and amplify your great shots. The class will start with two hours of indoor instruction, then take a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll have three hours of outdoor instruction to figure out “what you need to do, when you do well.” This class includes a workbook, journal, putting board, plus two hours of instructional audio tapes and three of Chuck’s Hypnosis for Better Golf tapes. Junior Clinics at Meadow Lakes: Meet each Tuesday through July 16. Taught by Meadow Lakes PGA teaching professional Vic Martin and assisted by Meadow Lakes head pro Zach Lampert and assistant pro Jared Lambert, the clinic aims to create a positive environment for junior players to learn the game of golf. Players will learn knowledge of the sport, proper etiquette, correct safety, respect of other players and fundamentals of the golf swing. Ladies Only Golf School at Black Butte Ranch: Aims to create a comfortable learning environment for female golfers of all abilities. Includes five hours of instruction, golf school workbook, putting board, alignment aids, two rounds of golf with a cart, and two lunches at Robert’s Pub.
