The parent companies of BendBroadband and CBS station KOIN reached an agreement on retransmission in time for the Super Bowl.
An impasse in contract talks meant that BendBroadband customers in Madras, Crooked River Ranch, Culver, Prineville and Metolius could not watch CBS through their cable TV service.
TDS Telecom, a subsidiary of Telephone and Data Systems, which owns BendBroadband, announced the agreement Friday afternoon with Nexstar Media Group Inc., which owns KOIN in Portland. The deal restores retransmission of Nexstar’s local stations to more than 50,000 TDS customers in eight states. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
