March down to the Domino Room on the second day of March for Portland’s second-line inspired MarchFourth (all puns and alliteration intended, of course). The 20-plus member behemoth, which actually began life as a marching band before evolving into the touring machine it is today, returns Saturday, bringing the usual acrobats, stilt-walkers and plenty of New Orleans flair. Formed in 2003 to mark the New Orleans celebration Fat Tuesday, MarchFourth has released four studio albums blending funk, jazz and second-line grooves; the sprawling “Magic Number” dropped in 2016. Local jazz/funk/fusion band the Maxwell Friedman Group will open the show.

MarchFourth, with Maxwell Friedman Group: 8:30 p.m. Saturday; $20 plus fees in advance, $25 at the door; ages 21 and older; Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; parallel44presents.com or 541-408-4329.
