• The John Butler Trio will return to the Athletic Club of Bend this summer.

Australian roots-rock guitarist and songwriter Butler and his trio will perform at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 20 as part of the Clear Summer Nights concert series. The trio was last at the venue in 2017. Folk/reggae singer-songwriter Trevor Hall will open the show at 6:30 p.m.
The John Butler Trio released its seventh studio album, “Home,” last year.

• The Sisters Saloon Summer Concert Series kicks off its first year June 22 with Eugene swing revivalists Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.
Vancouver, Washington, based “loop ninja” and local favorite Tony Smiley continues the outdoor series at Sisters Saloon & Ranch Grill on July 6. Expect more announcements in the coming weeks.
