Where to GO! in Central Oregon for weight lifting

Winning the category of Where to GO! for weight lifting is no small feat given the number of gyms and crossfit options across Central Oregon. CrossFit Type 44 on Bend’s east side must be doing something right to kick maximal gluteous maximus as it did. “This style of working out, it’s hard,” said founder Charles Little, who co-owns Type 44 with his wife, Kira. “You finish it and you’re like, ‘Oh my goodness, my butt’s just been kicked. I don’t know why I do this and why I pay someone to do this to me, but I keep coming back.’ So that being said, misery loves company.” While Charles can’t speak for those who voted in Type 44’s favor, he believes CrossFit Type 44 has worked hard to build a community. “It’s not just working out,” he said. “You like to be around people that get it, and they understand it, and they want to do it and be part of it with you.”
