Cody Johnson will play Oregon Spirit Distillers

Texas country singer-songwriter Cody Johnson is on his way to Bend.

Johnson will perform at 7 p.m. July 19 at Oregon Spirit Distillers as part of KSJJ 102.9-FM and Bend Radio Group’s 2019 country concert series. This is the first show announced for the series, which returns after debuting at Oregon Spirit Distillers last year. Tickets cost $30 plus fees in advance and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at bendticket.com.

Debuting with his eponymous band in 2006, Johnson rose through country’s ranks as an independent artist. His fifth studio album, 2014’s “Cowboy Like Me,” peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s U.S. Country chart, and each subsequent album has charted higher, culminating with his No. 1 Warner Music Nashville debut “Ain’t Nothin’ to It” last year.
