Jeremy Enigk brings ‘Ghosts’ to Volcanic

Whenever seminal emo/pop-punk band Sunny Day Real Estate takes a break (the group split up in 1995, 2001 and most recently 2013 following a 2009 reunion), guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist and songwriter Jeremy Enigk turns to solo work. He’s amassed a collection of varied albums since his 1996 solo debut, “Return of the Frog Queen,” ranging from lushly orchestrated pop to hard rock that hews pretty close to his main project on 2009’s “OK Bear.” This most recent break yielded last year’s reissue of “Return of the Frog Queen” and subsequent tour, and a new solo album, 2017’s “Ghosts,” which — true to its name — features Enigk at his most haunting. He’ll close out his full-band tour for “Ghosts” at Volcanic Theatre Pub on Wednesday.

Jeremy Enigk: 9 p.m. Wednesday, doors open at 8 p.m.; $16 plus fees in advance; Volcanic Theatre Pub, 70 SW Century Drive, Bend; volcanictheatre.com or 541-323-1881.
