Target has started a $1.1 million remodel of the Bend store that will include the addition of a nursing space and an updated order pickup and guest service counter.
The work is scheduled to be complete later this summer, Target spokeswoman Liz Hancock said in an email.
Target also has a permit to install a rooftop solar power system, according to the city of Bend. The city issued permits for the remodeling.
Minneapolis-based Target plans to “reimagine” more than 1,000 stores by the end of 2020. The results will differ by location.
In Bend, the new look will include “additional mannequins and specialty LED lighting to create a shopping experience for guests that is both hip and cool, warm and inviting,” Hancock said in an email. Target will create new merchandise displays throughout the store, including in home, apparel and beauty, she said.
