Bennington Properties Presents Dog Day in May

Dogs, dog parents, and dog people alike will love Dog Day in May, a day focused on your furry friend and all the things you both love. Start your day with the 5K Poker Walk/Run benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and SW Washington. Stop by booths and meet the vendors of a wide array of dog-related products—you can even adopt a dog from the Humane Society of Central Oregon. Deschutes Demolition

The 5th annual Deschutes Demolition will showcase two-member male and female teams in Rx, Scaled, and Masters divisions to see who owns the best fitness in Central Oregon. Cash prizes will be awarded to Rx, with trophies for Scaled and Masters. Heats are determined by registration; the teams that register first have the benefit of competing last. Open to athletes of all levels over the age of 18. Athletes are encouraged to familiarize themselves with different fitness domains, especially some exposure to CrossFit-style workouts and powerlifting. The Rx division includes all powerlifting, bodyweight, and gymnastic movements. Scaled and Masters divisions use lighter weight and less advanced movements. Sunriver Quilt Show

The 2019 Sunriver Quilt Show and Sale, put on by the Mountain Meadow Quilters Guild, marks its 32nd year. The group of more than 125 quilters displays more than 200 quilts in a wide spectrum of colors and styles, from traditional patterns to modern art. Some of the quilts will be available for sale. A special exhibit this year will feature quilters Pat Jones and Bevalee Runner. In addition, there will be a bazaar of handcrafted items, including potholders, tote bags, table runners, and small quilts. Sunriver Art Fair

Recently named one of the Top Ten Art Fairs in the nation, the 10th annual art fair showcases the juried work of more than 80 artists in ceramics, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, woodworking, and mixed media. Plus live entertainment and an art center for young artists.
