An expanded youth flag football program is being offered this fall by the Bend Park & Recreation District, and the deadline to register is July 29.

A seventh- and eighth-grade division has been added to the park district’s existing league for first- through sixth-graders. The program is open to boys and girls entering first through eighth grades in the 2019-20 school year.

The season runs from Sept. 3 through Nov. 3. Teams typically practice twice a week and play games on Sundays.

Adult volunteers are needed to serve as coaches; prospective coaches must pass a background check.
