Fox & Bones returns to Bend

Sometimes, the best way to make something happen is to write about it. Portland musicians Sarah Vitort and Scott Gilmore, better known as folk-pop-rock duo Fox & Bones, are living proof. The two met in 2016 and created the characters that make up their band name in order to “construct the life of our dreams through the songs,” as Vitort says in the band’s online biography via trendpr.com. The “Fox” and “Bones” of their story-songs hit the road together after finding each other — exactly what happened to Vitort and Gilmore as their debut live album, “The Remarkable Adventures Of,” began to pick up steam after its release in 2017. Following tours of the U.S. and Europe, the duo released second album “Better Land,” which expands their sound into the modern indie-pop realm while maintaining their honeyed harmonies and creative storytelling.

Bend fans will have two chances to catch Fox & Bones in the near future: The duo returns to Spoken Moto on Thursday, and will be back to play Loge Bend on Nov. 2.
