Roy and Dolores Wilms, of Bend, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to New York City and a cruise of the Atlantic provinces of Canada.

The couple were married Sept. 20, 1969, in Los Angeles. They have two children: Matthew, of Bend; and Michael (and Denelle), of Dallas, Oregon; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Wilms was an Oregon State Police officer and retired Feb. 1, 1998. He enjoys fishing, hunting and RVing.

Mrs. Wilms was a child care provider and retired Jan. 31, 1998. She enjoys crafting, traveling in their trailer, reading and spending time with family.

They have lived in Central Oregon for 37 years.
