The Bend Elks will start their 20th anniversary summer collegiate baseball season on the road before playing their home opener on June 9, a Tuesday, against the Walla Walla Sweets.

The West Coast League released its schedule for 2020 on Monday. All 12 WCL teams will open their 54-game regular-season schedules on June 5, when the Elks will be in Port Angeles, Washington, to face the Lefties in the opening game of a three-game series.

Last week, the Elks announced that the team’s new head coach for the 2020 season will be former Oregon State standout Kyle Nobach, an outfielder on the Beavers’ 2018 College World Series championship squad.
