Elisabeth Anne Mahoney, and James Yoshiyuki Gantz, both of Portland, were married Oct. 5 at the Colony, St. John’s, Portland with a reception following.

The bride is the daughter of Denise and James Mahoney, of Bend. She is a 1989 graduate of Sunriver Preparatory School, a 1993 graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in architecture, and a 1998 graduate of the University of Oregon, where she earned a master’s degree in architecture. She works as an architect for GBD Architects of Portland. The groom is the son of Ikuko and Charles Edward Gantz, of Sacramento, California. He is a 1990 graduate of Sacramento High School, a 1997 graduate of the University of Oregon, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture, and a 2004 graduate of Syracuse University in New York with a master’s in architecture. He works as an architect at ZGF Architects in Portland.

The couple entertained Mr. Gantz’s daughter, Amara, from Hobart, Tasmania, in Australia.

They will settle in Portland.
