Dwight Yoakam announces Bend show

Here’s the latest in concert announcements and music news around Bend:
• Pioneering honky-tonk/rock hit-maker Dwight Yoakam will continue the country music boom in the city with a performance Aug. 23 at Oregon Spirit Distillers. Known for more than 30 charting singles since the mid-’80s including “Fast as You,” “Honky Tonk Man” and “Ain’t That Lonely Yet,” Yoakam released the bluegrass-inspired “Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars …” in 2016. • Tex-Mex rockers Los Lobos will now headline the Sisters Rhythm & Brews Festival on Aug. 3 and 4 at Village Green Park in Sisters. Original headliner John Mayall canceled all performances through September due to illness, according to his website and a post on the festival’s Facebook page. Tickets cost $145 plus fees or $75 plus fees for ages 11 to 17, and are available at bendticket.com (ages 10 and younger get in free). Visit sistersrhythmandbrews.com for more information.
