Details: Former Bend Memorial Clinic doctors Jason Jundt and Wayne Nelson are building a new office and surgery center at the southeast corner of Neff Road and 27th Street.

The 11,000 square-foot building, which is scheduled to be complete in June, will replace Oregon Vascular Specialists’ temporary location on Mt. Bachelor Drive, office coordinator Jeanine Holtby said.

The building will house offices and an ambulatory surgery center with two operating rooms, Holtby said. The doctors will perform minor outpatient surgeries, including removing varicose veins, angioplasty and placing stents, she said.

Central Oregon Vascular Institute LLC, the property owner, obtained a building permit in September with a construction value of $3.5 million, city of Bend records show.

Oregon Vascular Specialists said they’ll have the only vascular surgery and vascular surgery-related ultrasound lab in Central Oregon, as well as the region’s only office-based interventional vascular lab.

The practice has 15 employees, Jundt said in an email, and the doctors expect to hire another vascular surgeon in the summer.
