Michael Glabicki, frontman for world/roots rock band Rusted Root, is still best known for writing one of the ’90s’ more ubiquitous hits, “Send Me on My Way,” the sunny, hook-laden theme heard in “Matilda” and “Ice Age.” The song — not to mention the band’s community-minded spirit and performances — helped Rusted Root carve a long career on the road well into the 2010s — the band headlined the 4 Peaks Music Festival in 2015. When the band went on hiatus earlier this year, Glabicki used the opportunity to re-imagine his songs — and write some new ones — in a more improvisatory setting with new band UpRooted, which also features Rusted Root guitarist Dirk Miller. Glabicki and Miller also tour as a duo, and will play a rescheduled date at the Tower Theatre on Saturday (the duo canceled its March date at the theater due to scheduling difficulties).
Michael Glabicki and Dirk Miller: 7:30 p.m. Saturday; $27, $37 or $42 plus theater preservation fee; Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St., Bend; towertheatre.org or 541-317-0700.
