Last week’s record: 0-2

Chargers -10

The only conceivable advantage the Raiders might have against any team in the NFL would be their home field. They are the last team that plays on a baseball field, and as a result, some visiting teams have trouble finding their footing on the unusual playing surface. That is not the case for Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, who owns an 8-4 career record in the Oakland Coliseum with 22 touchdown passes and just nine interceptions. Similar to the first meeting earlier this season, Los Angeles will dominate the Raiders, especially now that running back Melvin Gordon is healthy.

Rams -91⁄2

The holes in the Rams defense were exposed last week at New Orleans. The Saints moved the ball with ease, and for the first time this season, L.A.’s offense could not bail out sloppy play by the defense. One positive takeaway is that Los Angeles was still in position to take the lead late in the game. For Seattle, running back Chris Carson is not operating at 100 percent and might have to sit out. When he came out of the game last week against the Chargers, the Seahawks offense became stagnant. You cannot allow that to happen against the Rams. The Chargers’ atrocious kicking game is the only thing that kept Seattle in the game at the end of the fourth quarter. Everything points to Rams head coach Sean McVay making the necessary adjustments to put a beat down on a banged-up Seahawks team.

Giants +3

49ers quarterback Nick Mullens passing for 262 yards and three TDs in his NFL debut is a great story, but it’s not going to happen against a real defense. There is a reason why he was undrafted. There is a reason why he was behind C.J. Beathard on the depth chart. I also have a hard to imagining a world where the San Francisco defense shuts down Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr. In this matchup, New York has big-play capability and the 49ers likely do not.
