January 2, 1955 – November 12, 2018

Stephanie Camille Higlin Enright of Bend, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly due to complications from a head injury on November 12, 2018, at the age of 63. She finished her last days at the Hospice House in Bend, surrounded by loved ones.Stephanie was born on January 2, 1955, in Corona, California, to William and Natalie Higlin. She was the proud “Sis” to her siblings, Terri, Will, and Geoff. Stephanie spent most of her childhood in Washington and California and attended Holy Rosary Catholic School.Rick and Stephanie met when she was in high school, and they were notorious for being the couple who couldn’t live with each other but couldn’t live without each other. In 1975, they were young and in love and began the journey of moving from California across the country to Texas. They found jobs, got married on their lunch break in the county courthouse, and soon became parents. They lived in Texas for 38 years where they raised their two wonderful daughters, Kelly and Shannon. Over the years, Stephanie imparted her love for Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, Wheel of Fortune, bowling, and traveling to her daughters. One of Stephanie’s early jobs in Houston started her on a path that led to a long, successful career in the real estate title industry. She worked in several different roles but was most known as Manager and Escrow Officer. She mentored several in the title industry and always made the closing experience enjoyable for her customers. She retired in 2000 and took advantage of having time on her hands by furthering her education, a love for cooking, traveling, reading ferociously, playing her favorite computer games, and watching sports and Court TV. The last few years also included wonderful memories of being “Mimi” to her five grandchildren, who she loved with all of her heart. Stephanie is remembered for being one-of-a-kind, independent, stubborn at times, loving, fun, and a friend to anyone who met her. Our family is heartbroken and knows that life will never be the same without her.Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, William Higlin. She is survived by her mother, Natalie Higlin of Bend; her husband of 43 years, Rick Enright of Bend; her two daughters and their husbands, Kelly Strzinek (Wade) of Keller, Texas; Shannon Bankhead (Brad) of Belton, Texas; her five grandchildren, Mallory, Tate, Morgan, Will, and Max; her siblings and their spouses, Terri Solterbeck (Gary) of Payette, Idaho; Will Higlin (Patty) of Salem; Geoff Higlin (Erica) of Bend; her brother-in-law, Mike Enright of Santa Rosa, California, her sister-in-law, Barbara Akbarian of Concord, California, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at 11:00am at the Mount Bachelor Village Resort in the Winters Hope Room, 19717 Mt. Bachelor Drive, Bend. For Stephanie’s Texas friends, there will be a service in the DFW area at a later date.
