Creed Bratton’s exploits as a rock musician in the ’60s were (sort of) chronicled on TV’s “The Office.” Still, music fans would do well to go back to the real ’60s recordings of Bratton’s band The Grass Roots, which charted a number of psych-pop hits during Bratton’s tenure as lead guitarist including “Midnight Confessions” and “Let’s Live for Today.” Although Bratton left the band at the turn of the decade and would embark upon the acting career he’s best known for today, he never stopped playing. In the early 2000s, he re-emerged as a solo performer with a series of albums featuring songs recorded since the ’60s, and began recording new solo material. His latest album, “While the Young Punks Dance,” was released in April. Catch Bratton doing his thing at Volcanic Theatre Pub on Wednesday.
