• NorthWest Crossing Farmers Market has opened vendor registration for the 2018 market season. The market is open Saturdays from June 16 through Sept. 15 and is celebrating its 10th year in the NorthWest Crossing neighborhood center. • Subaru of Bend has raised almost $42,000 for Grandma’s House, its hometown charity of choice for its Share the Love Campaign. For each new vehicle purchased or leased Nov. 16 through Jan. 2, Subaru donated $250.
• Village Interiors Design Center has opened its second location, 750 NW Lava Road, Suite 120, in Bend. The original showroom in Sisters will move to 111 W. Barclay Drive, Suite 1A, on June 1. Village Interiors has been in Sisters for more than 25 years.
• Sisters Athletic Club has been awarded the 2018 Outstanding Community Service Award by the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association, a not-for-profit trade association that represents health and fitness facilities and suppliers worldwide. Owner Tate Metcalf and his staff at Sisters Athletic Club demonstrated a willingness to open their doors to people in need, be it active military personnel on leave, firefighters battling forest fires or school athletic teams.
• Family Access Network Foundation held its 12th annual luncheon fundraiser on April 13 and raised $111,446 through sponsorships, individual donations and a donor match program that doubled the number of monthly donors. The event attracted more than 250 guests.
• The Brew Shop/Platypus Pub, 1203 NE Third St., Bend, filed an application April 2 with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission for the additional privilege of an off-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider in factory-sealed containers for consumption off the licensed premises and allows licensees to offer sample tasting of malt beverages, wine and cider.
• Hilton Garden Inn Bend, 425 SW Bluff Ave., Bend, filed an application April 5 with the OLCC for change of ownership of a commercial establishment and an off-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider in factory-sealed containers for consumption off the licensed premises and sample tasting of malt beverages, wine and cider on the licensed premises.
• Hampton Inn & Suites Bend, 730 SW Columbia St., Bend, filed an application April 5 with the OLCC for a change of ownership, an off-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider in factory-sealed containers for consumption off the licensed premises; and a limited on-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on the licensed premises.
