Two Bend golfers finish in top 10 — Bend’s Hailey Ostrom recorded a two-day 5-over 149 to tie for fifth at the Oregon Women’s Stroke Play Championship on Aug. 15-16 at Rose City Golf Course in Portland. Bend’s Madison Odiorne was close behind, at 6-over, to tie for eighth overall in the 47-player standings. Eugene’s Haleigh Krause won the overall title with a 3-under 141.
Local wins Washington tourney — Bend’s Rosie Cook carded a 2-over-par 73 at Longview Country Club in Washington on Aug. 11 to secure her third straight victory at the Ladies’ Lower Columbia Tournament. Cook finished with a two-day 3-over 145, topping the 78-player field by 21 strokes.
