Thomas and Michele Jones, of Redmond, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 19.

The couple were married in 1967 at Fort Ord in Monterey, California. They have three daughters.

Tom served two tours in the Army and Air Force during the Vietnam War. He joined Redmond Police Department in 1977 and was with them for 25 years. He currently owns Tom Jones Motorcars. Michele met Tom in 1966, and the two married after he returned from the Vietnam War. Michele is a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She values community involvement, and has worked with the Central Oregon Battering and Rape Alliance and Community Solutions of Central Oregon (formerly Central Oregon Mediation).

They have lived in Central Oregon for 46 years.
