Preston and Helen Jones, of Bend, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 10.

The couple were married in 1967 in Oberlin, Kansas. They have three children, Jennifer (and Kimme) Arnesen, of Oslo, Norway, Melanie (and Mike) Tompkins, of Bend, and Kenton Jones (and Diana Tolentino), of Las Vegas; and 13 grandchildren.

Mr. Jones retired in 2007 from his work as a structural engineer. He enjoys playing the mandolin in the Thorn Hollow String Band. Mrs. Jones is a private piano teacher active with the Oregon Music Teachers Association. She is also a board member of the Central Oregon Symphony Association.

They have lived in Bend for six years.
