Terry and Judy (Smith) Cochran, of Bend, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 1 in Washington, D.C., with their grandchildren.
The couple were married in 1967 at the Presbyterian church in Naches, Washington. Judy’s twin sister, Janet, was the matron of honor. They have Timothy Cochran, of Eugene, and Andrew Cochran, of Forest Grove; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Cochran worked as a banker, retiring in 2001 and again in 2010. During his career he served as the president of Columbia River Bank, Juniper Bank, Klickitat Valley Bank and Valley Community Bank. He was also the first manager of U.S. Bank’s Deschutes County branch in Bend and was elected to the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame in 2001. He enjoys spending time with family, travel and golfing at Broken Top Club. Mrs. Cochran retired from her work as an educator and college administrator in 1996. She is a graduate of Washington State University and holds a master’s degree from Portland State University in post-secondary education. She enjoys golf, biking, yoga and other sports. Together, Terry and Judy enjoy going on adventuresome trips.
They have lived in Bend for 16 years.
