Violence: Some fisticuffs and brawling, explosives
Language: Some swearing and off-color jokes.
Sexuality: Some flirtation and sexual references.
Drugs: None
Parents advisory: This light-hearted heist caper is appropriate for older kids and teens, but is probably too mature for young kids.
“THE HITMAN’S BODYGUARD”
Rating: R for strong violence and language throughout.
What it’s about: A hitman is in need of a bodyguard when he has to give testimony against a dictator. Hijinks and violence ensue in this action comedy.
The kid attractor factor: Star Ryan Reynolds and the action genre will attract teen audiences.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Always shoot your shot — whether it be for love or self-defense. Admit when you’re wrong and apologize.
Violence: Gratuitous violence abounds — shootings, car chases, stabbings, explosions, torture, a murder with every tool in the hardware store.
Language: Graphic language throughout.
Sexuality: Some sexual references, objectification of women’s bodies, kisses, etc.
Drugs: None
Parents advisory: This action-packed romp is pretty violent — OK for teens but too intense for kids.
