Cibelli’s Pizza

Bend likes its pizza New York City-style, judging from our readers’ poll. Cibelli’s Pizza took the cake (er, pie) with its fresh, hand-tossed, stone oven-fired pizzas and friendly staff. Opened in Tumalo in 2001 by Frank Cibelli, Cibelli’s now operates five locations, including three in Bend, as well as Bogey’s Burgers in Redmond. The menu features 12 different combination pies, a build-your-own option, salads and other specialty items. And if you’re feeling particularly hungry, Cibelli’s offers the largest pizza (at 24 inches) in Central Oregon. All food and service is 100 percent guaranteed, according to current owner and CEO Brett Bateman: “If you are not happy, you do not pay, and we mean it.”

Apparently GO! Magazine readers like to design their own pizzas given the chance. Choosing toppings clearly counts based on our runners-up.

MOD Pizza

MOD (Made on Demand) Pizza (modpizza.com), which specializes in artisan-style personal pizzas in a fast-casual atmosphere, came in second in our poll. You can pick from a list of recommended pizzas or design the 11-inch pie of your dreams with the toppings on hand. Or you can choose to do a build-your-own salad with those same ingredients.

Little Pizza Paradise

Rounding out the top three was Little Pizza Paradise (littlepizzaparadise.com) in the Cascade Village Shopping Center, which offers a variety of specialty pies as well as a build-your-own option. The pizzas are available in three sizes, 10-inch, 14-inch and 18-inch.

The restaurant also offers salads, sandwiches and calzones.
