BendBroadband warns of email scam

BendBroadband alerted its account holders Wednesday of an email scam seeking customer account and credit card information.

The email, from an address with a “wildblue.net” address extension, instructs account holders to update their payment information, asks for credit card or other payment information and warns that account holders who fail to update their information will lose their accounts permanently.

BendBroadband, in a notice posted on its website homepage, advised its customers to ignore the warning and delete the email. The company stated that wildblue.net is a “long known scam hitting telecom companies over the past few years.”
