911 outage for U.S. Cellular in Jefferson County

U.S. Cellular customers are unable to contact Jefferson County 911 due to an outage, according to an Oregon Office of Emergency Management news release.
The outage is also affecting John Day, Grant, Morrow, Union, Umatilla, Baker, Wallowa, Gilliam, Sherman and Wheeler counties. Only U.S. Cellular costumers are affected, according to the release.
The release does not give more information on the type of outage, or when the issue will be resolved. However, it asks U.S. Cellular customers to continue to report emergencies to the appropriate agencies. To reach the Jefferson County nonemergency line, call 541-475-2201.
