The annual three-day Pacific Crest Endurance Sports Festival will begin Friday in Sunriver and other locations in Central Oregon. This year’s festival, the 21st edition of the event, includes 20 different races and bike tours. More than 3,000 participants entered at least one Pacific Crest triathlon, duathlon, aquabike or footrace in 2016.
The weekend kicks off with a 25K trail run out of Wanoga Sno-park and 26- and 55-mile noncompetitive bike tours out of Sunriver on Friday. A Splash, Pedal-n-Dash race for kids 12 and under will be held at 4 p.m. at the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center.
