“SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING”

Rating: PG-13 for sci-fi action violence, some language and brief suggestive comments.

What it’s about: Follows the day to day crime-fighting and adventures of high school student Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, as he attempts to prove himself a worthy member of the Avengers team and takes on villain Vulture.

The kid attractor factor: The action-adventure/superhero/comic book genre and young stars.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Sometimes it’s OK to just be a teen, to learn and grow at the right pace, even if you want to do more.

Violence: Action violence. Shooting, laser blasting, punching, fighting, a plane crash on Coney Island beach, etc.

Language: Brief strong language.

Sexuality: High school crushes, mentions of Aunt May being hot, etc.

Drugs: None.

Parents advisory: Great superhero fun for older kids and teens, but too action-packed and scary for little children.
