The St. Charles Family Care clinic in La Pine, originally slated to open later this year, will now open in April 2018.

In a news release, St. Charles wrote that the delay is due to unanticipated changes relating to the project’s scope, site improvements and infrastructure upgrades. Construction on the clinic will begin in spring.

The clinic will provide primary care, urgent care, radiology, lab and occupational and specialty services to La Pine and nearby communities, including Sunriver, Gilchrist, Crescent, Chiloquin, Chemult, Christmas Valley, Silver Lake and Fort Rock. St. Charles is currently recruiting primary care physicians.

The St. Charles Foundation is trying to raise $1.5 million to build the clinic. To date, the Foundation has received $900,000 in cash and pledges.
