Level 2 lunch — New owners Jarrett Van Ness and Don Good of Level 2 Global Cuisine, above Saxon’s Fine Jewelry in the Old Mill District, have extended hours to include lunch. “We like our customer base,” said Van Ness, the longtime bar manager who bought the restaurant from Ada and Howie Long. “We’ll keep the same concept with a few menu additions.” Executive chef is Dale Fox. Mystery solved — Big O Bagels’ delicious Guadagno sandwich, made with turkey, bacon, avocado and cheddar cheese, was the creation of Kevin Guadagno of Bend. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Guadagno is a longtime employee of Sysco Food Services. The Bulletin’s March 9 story on Big O Bagels failed to credit the source.
