Bob Wenger Memorial Off-Leash Area
The Bob Wenger Memorial Off-Leash Area in Pine Nursery Community Park is a favorite destination for dog owners looking for some off-leash fun, Go! readers said.
Comprising nearly 19 acres of the expansive, 159-acre park in Northeast Bend, the fenced off-leash area — referred to as “OLA’s” by dog-owners — is filled with trails and features a grass field ideal for fetch. The Bob Wenger Memorial Off-Leash Area also includes a fenced, off-leash area for smaller dogs weighing less than 25 pounds and measuring less than 15 inches at the shoulder, according to Bend Parks & Recreation.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after and keeping an eye on their pups.
This off-leash park is one of eight off-leash areas in Bend parks and is also its largest, according to DogPAC.org.
Two other parks — Big Sky Dog Park and Hollinshead Park — round out the off-leash offerings in Northeast Bend.
