Coy Powell

Coy Powell of Redmond, OR, died on Wednesday, November 2nd at St. Charles Hospital in Bend, OR. He was 73.

Coy was born on March 13, 1943, in Oklahoma and grew up in Southern, CA. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Coy retired as a journeyman carpenter after 35 years. His passion was flying, and he built his own highspeed experimental plane.

Coy was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Alice Powell, and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife, Irene Powell of Redmond, OR; stepchildren, daughter Brandi Salazar and grandchildren, Brandon and Brianna of San Diego, CA; as well as two sisters, Verba Tucker and Reba Pearce of AZ.

Coy enjoyed a wide variety of friends and was loved and admired by a large extended family. He is greatly missed.
