September 21, 1922 – January 6, 2016

Patricia Mayhew (MacDonald) Kelly of Bend, Oregon, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on January 6, 2016 at Hospice House of Bend. She was 93.

Patti was born September 21, 1922 in Binghamton, New York, to Mayhew and Francis (Sexton) MacDonald. Her family moved to San Francisco, CA, where she graduated from high school and then attended Business College. Her favorite events from childhood were roller-skating down the hills of San Francisco and walking across the Golden Gate Bridge alongside 200,000 people the day before it was first open to vehicles.

Patti would eventually land in Boise, Idaho, where she lived for more than 42 years. She worked as head cashier at the Ada County Treasurer’s office for 25 years. She moved to Bend, OR in 2002 where she enjoyed living near her family and volunteering at St. Charles Medical Center. She logged over 2000 hours in 7 years at that hospital.

Patti was a passionate wildlife enthusiast and enjoyed snowmobiling and camping. She walked daily along Boise’s beautiful Greenbelt. She also loved live music and was a stellar dancer, particularly in the Jitterbug.

Patti is survived by three wonderful children; sons, Craig F. (wife Pam) Holmes and James T. Sinclair; a daughter, Holly A. (husband Chris) Boehm and four grandchildren, Brandy, Nicholas, Heather and Derek. She was preceded in death and her husband Kent O. Kelly
