Adult Education
Adult education programs offer many courses of interest to seniors. Classes are available in a variety of environments at sites throughout the community. Teaching methods have expanded beyond the classroom to include satellite, fiber optic, videotape, and interactive computer. Our community supports undergraduate and graduate level classes. Area schools of higher learning may offer a variety of classes of special interest to seniors, as well as re-entry programs, which are designed for adults who have been out of school for an extended period of time.

Program membership is open to all who have an interest in the lifelong pursuit of knowledge; there are no requirements that involve prior college experience. Curriculum is offered through a monthly variety of thought-provoking lectures, ongoing study and discussion group, tours and activities. All upcoming program events are announced in a monthly newsletter and calendar sent to each member.
Open Houses are held three times a year in fall, winter and spring. These events are open to any member of the community interested in learning more about the OLLI program. The agenda includes a social, a short organizational meeting and a presentation by a guest speaker.

The library is open to the public. All Oregon residents 16 years of age or older may check out materials from the local circulating collection after they acquire a community card. A photo id, proof of a current Oregon mailing address, and signed community card application (available at the circulation desk) are required for community cards. A community card also gives the holder access to the internet at the Library’s public workstations.
Visitors with their own laptops or mobile devices may use the Open Community Wireless Network without a guest pass.
