Baldy’s Barbecue owner Brian Dioguardi plans to relocate the Redmond location on SE Veterans Way to the former Fireside restaurant on NW Sixth Street, Redmond.

Dioguardi plans to open Baldy’s on NW Sixth Street by November or December, he said Tuesday. A south-side lot adjacent the building will provide room for a 1,800-square-foot outdoor patio, he said. The relocated Baldy’s will also entail new hires, Dioguardi said. He planned no menu changes other than possibly adding breakfast on the weekends.

Baldy’s also has two locations in Bend, one on SW Century Drive and the other on U.S. Highway 20.

Moving an established business comes with some risk, he said, but the new spot comes with some advantages.

“Our payment for the loan was less than we were paying for rent,” he said, “after our due diligence, it just made sense.”
