Restaurant chain to close Central Oregon locations

The Albany-based restaurant chain Izzy’s will close its two Central Oregon locations and the restaurants will reopen as Round Table Pizza outlets, an employee from the company confirmed Monday.

The Bend restaurant is located in the Bend River Promenade and the Redmond restaurant is on SW 11th Street.

Izzy’s, a family-style regional chain that specializes in pizza and buffet-style offerings, was founded in 1979, according to the company’s website. The website lists 14 locations still in operation in Washington and western Oregon.

Representatives from Round Table Pizza were not available for comment.
