Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Charles August Ladrow, Jr., passed away on Sept. 14, 2015, at Alaska Regional Hospital, due to complications from cancer.

He was born to Charles and Freda Ladrow in Wilbur, Oregon on July 17, 1940. He joined the U.S. Army in 1957. He served in Korea, Germany and in the Vietnam war. He was honorably discharged in 1966.

After residing in Central Oregon, he moved to Alaska in 1983, with his family. He received a masters degree in accounting. He went on to become an agent for the IRS and retired in 2002.

Hunting and fishing were some of his favorite things to do with his son and grandson. He loved spending time with his family during the holidays and loved a good game of poker.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his grandson, Marc. Survivors include his wife, Erika of 55 years; son, Charles Ladrow; daughter and son-in-law, James and Deborah Evans; brother, Frank Ladrow; sisters, Beverly Butler, Freda Johnston, Oletta Beard and Sherry Davenport; grandchildren, Christopher Ladrow and Brittany Evans; and many nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.
