Intruder killed in home invasion

A Bend homeowner fatally shot an intruder he found in his home early Sunday morning, police announced today.
According to a Bend Police news release, homeowner Kevin Marshall Perry arrived home with a companion to find the door had been forced open. Inside, Perry found 33-year-old Shane Michael Munoz of Bend in the living room, the news release stated.
After a struggle involving Munoz, Perry, and his companion, Eugene resident Amanda Weinman, Munoz was shot and killed.
Police received a call at 12:39 a.m. Sunday reporting a burglary in progress at 2461 N.W. Awbrey Road, the news release stated. When they arrived, they found Munoz dead at the scene.
Perry and Weinman, 33, suffered injuries during the altercation.
No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate the case.
