Bend to get wings restaurant

A Texas-based Buffalo-wings restaurant chain plans to open in Bend next year.

Wingstop, headquartered in Richardson, Texas, announced Wednesday that it was opening 12 new stores in Oregon.

Bend residents can expect the restaurant to open sometime in 2013, according to a company spokeswoman. Some of the details, including a location, haven’t been decided.

The company’s website lists 10 speciality flavors for its wings, including mild, hot, atomic, Cajun and lemon pepper.

Wingstop already has one location in Portland. Other Oregon cities expected to get a Wingstop in 2013 include Eugene, Springfield and Medford.
