Eight students earn hunting scholarships

The Redmond chapter of the Oregon Hunters Association has given out $4,400 in college scholarships to eight students.

The scholarships were given to students who were involved with extracurricular activities, community projects and wildlife enhancement projects with Redmond OHA and who are members of the chapter.

The winners are: Abby Cranston, Tyler Hamilton, Travis Simpson and Kyle Griggs, all seniors at Redmond High School; Kelly Cole, a senior at Sisters High School; Mitch VanDomelen and Garrett Curry, seniors at Crook County High School; and Marisa VanDomelen, an Oregon State University student and former graduate of Crook County High School.
