Row houses to be built in SE Bend

A Lake Oswego real estate developer is planning 24 row houses at SE Fourth Street and SE Reed Market Road in Bend.

Eugene Labunsky, of West Coast Home Solutions, said the project is his first in Bend although he’s been building homes in the Portland metro area for 13 years.

Labunsky acquired the 2.16-acre property in April 2014 through an affiliated company, MLS Holdings LLC, for $730,000, according to Deschutes County online property records. A site plan for the property has been on file with the city since 2003.

“I don’t usually do stuff in Bend, but I got a good deal on the lots,” he said Wednesday.

The combined value listed in building permits issued by the city of Bend for all 24 houses comes to $5.9 million. Labunsky said units could be ready to occupy in six months.

Each of the 1,900-square-foot units will have three bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms and a bonus room, Labunsky said.

Plans call for groups of two or three units sharing common walls.

Suntel Design Inc., also of Lake Oswego, designed the buildings. Each unit will list for about $289,000, an entry-level price for that size, Labunsky said.
