Monthly, home prices dip in Bend, Redmond

Median home prices in Bend and Redmond dipped last month compared to March but increased year over year, according to a report released today.
The number of days homes spent on the market before they sold has plunged in both cities over the last two months.

In Bend, the median price for a single-family home last month was $309,000, a 5.5 percent decrease from March’s median but a 10 percent increase over the median price in April 2014, according to a report from the Beacon Appraisal Group, of Redmond.
Bend recorded 203 single-family home sales last month, 31 more than the previous month and nine more than in April 2014. The median number of days on market for sold properties in Bend dropped 59 days in two months, from 137 in February to 78 in April, according to The Beacon Report.
In Redmond, the median price for a single-family home was $208,000, about 2 percent lower than March’s median price and about 6 percent higher than the median price in April 2014, according to The Beacon Report.
Sixty-two homes sold in Redmond last month, seven more than in February and the same number sold in April 2014. Median days on market in Redmond dropped 118 days, from 178 in February to 60 in April.
